Default Healing Seed vs. Scourge Healing

I imagine that two monks could keep each other alive for a bit if they both had healing seed cast on the other one. But how fast would they die if they were close together and Scourge Healing was put on both of them?

Healing Seed (Enchantment Spell) If target other ally takes damage in the next 8..18 seconds, that ally and all adjacent allies gain 3..25 Health. Updated: 12/23/04 15 2 sec. 25 sec.

Scourge Healing (Hex Spell) For 30 seconds, every time target foe is healed, the healer takes 15..67 Holy damage. Updated: 2/18/05 10 2 sec. 5 sec.

If they are close enough, and one of them takes damage, it trips healing seed, healing both for up to 25. Then, both scourges should trip dealing damage to the monk who was not hit innitially, tripping healing seed twice, then tripping both scourges 2 times on the originally hit monk, and so on. So, the question is, how fast would the spells trigger each other? Is there some minimum time for reaction between damage and heal? Or would the monks nearly both self implode (well whichever had less health to begin with would go first)? It may be quite fantastic to test.

Wow, thats a crazy hypothetical situation. I do use Scourge Healing though, and have seen some very quick deaths by using it.
I guess the wording would mean both would trigger repeatedly until the target dies, or one of the two spells wear off. Perhaps Scourge Healing would only counter direct healing sources, but I will try to test this tomorrow.

Default Yeah

It's obviously terribly conditional, and not really a useable tactic. However, the information about the mechanics of the game would be neat.

Default testing

If anyone does test this, please post back with all the details. Especially include the damage numbers and imbalance warnings if they pop up.

I don't think you'd get what you're looking for since it says the 'healer'. In this case there is no healer, it's just a skill taking an effect. So it would probably only trigger once. If it would work that way, then you could just have a team of Elmos do Life Bond + Life Barrier in a circular pattern. They'd be nearly invulnerable since the damage would be halved, halved, bounced, reduced, halved, halved, bounced etc...

yeah, the fact that the enchantment is doing the healing makes me think it would not be effected by scourge healing.
This limits then scourge healings effectiveness to none enchantment based heals? I dont know, the wording is vague.

Saus once said that Scourge Healing doesn't trigger on delayed healing effects, nor on the Divine Favor bonus. Didn't get a chance to check though.

Based on my use of the hex, I would agree; although it still is a very powerful hex.

Scourge healing will not take effect on enchantment heals such as healing seed or healing hands. It doesn't trigger on the divine favor healing bonus(which would be quite overpowered when it triggered twice per orison, for instance). It only triggers for damage when an actual healing spell such as orison, word of healing, healing touch, heal other, etc are used. It'll also trigger on non-spell healings such as signet of devotion, or healing signet, and offensive spells that heal you like ether feast.
